New Whitepaper Available on Configuration Management
CMstat has published a new whitepaper on Nimble Hardware Configuration Management for the A&D Contract Supply and Service Chain.
This paper examines how the needs of hardware configuration management professionals working in the supply and aftermarket service chains of industries like A&D are different from those CM needs of product engineers using CAD-centric PDM software.
Examples are provided to illustrate why managing the downstream configuration of as-deployed, as-serviced, and as-repaired long-life assets in field use, requires a very different set of skills and software from that for as-designed or as-manufactured products.
