Whether you’re looking to deepen your expertise in managing Digital Data or advance your professional qualifications, this course is the perfect opportunity for you. All public classes are offered virtually via MS Teams. Class Information
Pre-Requisite Class 1 - Data Management Foundations – This introduction class is designed to get you up to speed understanding what Data Management truly encompasses.
Note: This is a stand-alone class and valuable whether or not you decide to pursue your DM Certification.
Class 2 – GEIA859 Data Management Standard In-Depth– A closer look at the principles and framework presented in the GEIA859 standard and how they support design and implementation of a comprehensive DM solution. This class also discusses the current and future state of the standard and associated handbook.
Class 3– Acquirer/Supplier DM Processes – Specific aspects of performing DM in a contracting environment. This class is based on the US Government contract deliverables processes including DoD legal and guidance documents, situational terminology, CDRL/SDRL management, data and classifications, marking of data assets, contracting environment conditions, requirements gathering, communication, planning, and fulfillment.
Class 4 – Data Management and Emerging Technologies – Class 4 provides up-to-date information on how new technologies and capabilities affect the way DM should be performed. Topics include Artificial Intelligence and derivative technologies, data storage, and resources to help practitioners stay ahead of the information curve.
Class 5 – Data Management Standards Universe – Study of standards from various industries, countries, and organizations creating an extensive DM resource guide. This class leaves students with an appreciation of the way DM is treated in various industries and organizations.
